Planifica tu maleta de vacaciones

Muchos ya estaréis de vacaciones y algunos ya habréis vuelto, pero este post puede ser útil para cualquier momento. Hacer la maleta puede ser un quebradero de cabeza ya que metes demasiadas cosas, y cuando viajas en avión o tienes que ir a varios destinos, un equipaje demasiado pesado puede ser una molesta.

Some of you are on holidays and some of you have come back home, but I think this post can be useful for every occasion you have to pack your stuff. Packing for a trip can be a headache, because sometimes you put in your suitcase too many things. When you travel by plane or you visit different destinies, a heavy package can be a problem. 

¿Qué hago yo en esta ocasiones? El 95% de mis viajes los hago con equipaje de mano y una mochila como mucho, es algo a lo que me he acostumbrado después de todos los años que llevo viviendo fuera de casa, y que se agradece a la hora de desplazarse. Los pasos que sigo son los siguientes:

What do I do? 95% of my trips I travel with hand-luggage and a backpack at the most, I get used to his because I have been living out of my hometown for several years and it is easier when you travel. The steps I follow: 

1. ¿Dónde voy? Ver el tiempo que hará allí en las fechas que voy / Where am I going? See the weather during the time that I’m going to spend there

2. ¿Qué tipo de viaje? Turístico, relax, familiar… / Type of trip: touristic, relaxing, familiar… 

En función de esto comienzo a preparar mi maleta:

1. Los esenciales: por un lado pijama, ropa interior y calcetines/medias. Por otro: maquillaje y productos de higiene (champú, gel, crema hidratante). Normalmente antes de ir algún sitio pregunto si hay secador porque en invierno salir con el pelo mojado puede darte más de un disgusto.

1. Essentials: on one hand, pajamas, underwear and socks/stockings. On the other hand: make up and hygienic products (shampoo, shower gel, hydrating cream). Whenever I go I use to ask if they have hairdryer, specially during the winter. Leaving the hotel with your hair wet can cause you troubles. 

2. Ropa: pensando en el tipo de viaje, el clima y los días. Meto la ropa pensando en cada día y un par de «por si acasos», porque nunca se sabe si puede llover de repente o presentarse un mal día. El problema es cuando empezamos, ¿y si al final me surge algo?, ¿y si no me convence esta ropa allí? Ahí es cuando nuestra maleta empieza a explotar de contenido.

2. Garments: thinking about the type of trip, the weather and the time you are going to spend in the destination. I pack clothes for every day and a couple of extra outfits, because you don’t know what can happen or if you are going to have a cloudy day. The problem with the «extra outfits» is when you pack lots of them and our suitcase starts to be really full and heavy. 

3: Calzado: cómodo sobre todo, nunca suelo estrenar calzado de vacaciones porque a veces produce rozaduras y te puede causar un mal trago.

3. Footwear: comfy above everything, I never wear for the first time footwear during my holidays because it can hurt you and destroy your trip 

4. Electrónica: cámara, cargador de móvil y de la cámara de fotos. Aunque tampoco es necesario que metamos todo nuestro arsenal de gadgets.

4. Electronic devices: photo camera, phone charger and camera charger. It is not necessary to pack all your gadgets. 

5. Abrigo: en los viajes en invierno suele ser lo que más nos ocupa, así que una buena opción es llevar un abrigo básico que nos pegue con toda la ropa que llevamos.

5. Coats: during winter trips they occupy a lot of space in our suitcase, so a great option is to carry one with you that matches with all your outfits.
